Assistant Professor of Practice, Fashion Industry Science and Technology
<p>Associates Degree in Applied Science, Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts from Hofstra University, and a Masters in Educational Leadershifrom Argosy University. <p>After graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology I worked in the fashion industry as an assistant and freelance designer for several years in New York before moving to Tucson Arizona. <p>My design experience in Tucson was as Vice President of clothing design for Chivalry Sports a national catalog designing renaissance clothing company, where I designed 13th to 15th Century period clothing. <p>I began teaching fashion related classes at Tucson’s Pima Community College. <p>In 2004 I was offered the Department Chair position at Tucson Design College TDC) where I developed the Fashion Design department curriculum. TDC was later, bought by The Art Institute, where I became Academic Director for Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing. <p>All this has led me to the University of Arizona as an Assistant Professor of Practice for the Norton School.
